At your Pre Op appointment you will be given many guidelines and instructions to help aid in your recovery making it as easy and pleasant as possible. If you are compliant with your pre and post operative care instructions your recovery might seem easier than you ever imagined. Following are additional steps Dr. Broadway takes to ensure a smoother procedure and shortened recovery.

Dr. Broadway has implemented a Wellness and Recovery Program as an option for his surgical patients. For patients who have not yet incorporated a dietary supplement program into their lifestyle, you can purchase a Wellness & Recovery Program that consists of three products, a multi vitamin, a fruit based nutritional drink, and a hydration beverage. Each product will play a key role in muscle, tissue and cell preparation before surgery, and well as assist with your recovery and healing process.

Your surgery will be performed at Renewal Surgery Center, a licensed surgical facility that is dedicated to cosmetic surgery procedures. By sping of 2009, this ambulatory surgery center will be fully accredited by AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Centers) which measures the quality and performance of a surgical center against nationally recognized standards.
The highly trained plastic surgery staff is handpicked by Dr. Broadway and Dr. Millard and will provide patients a high level of focused, specialized support and care. -
Lone Tree Anesthesia, LLC is the exclusive anesthesia provider for Dr. Broadway and patients can be at ease knowing their anesthesia is being administered by safe and highly experienced personnel. Most of the surgeries performed by Dr. Broadway will be under IV sedation. This means you are technically asleep during surgery and won’t remember much, but you are not relying on a ventilator to breathe for you. This is a much safer form of anesthesia because it can be classified as a “lighter” form of sedation without the use of a endotracheal tube.
Dr. Broadway has over 10 years of experience performing breast augmentation with local IV sedation technique. His technique has evolved to include a tumescent anesthesia. We have seen that this has reduced the need for sedation during the procedures, allows for a faster recovery and has diminished the post operative discomfort. Most patients in the recovery area are virtually pain free. Many patients have been seen visiting family on their cell phones or texting friends while still in the recovery area.

After your surgery you will typically remain in the Renewal Surgery Center observation unit for one hour. Most patients usually feel that they are ready to go home within this amount of time. Many of our patients will receive a pain control pack after their cosmetic surgery procedure helping to eliminate some discomfort within the first 24-48 hours. This pain control pack is connected to small tubes that are inserted into your incisions, and will continuously pump lidocaine into the specified areas helping to ease the pain.

Dr. Broadway will not perform extensive hours of surgery on patients. He feels this is too traumatic to your body and only makes for a longer recovery. The procedures that he will perform are surgeries that your body can tolerate safely, and allow for you to return to the comfort of your home. We will teach you and a family member’s the care that you will need after surgery to aid in a more pleasant recovery.
