What is VASER® technology?
VASER® technology was originally pioneered for use with liposuction procedures. It employs ultrasound technology in the removal of fatty deposits from your body. This procedure results in reduced pain, swelling and bruising, and a shorter healing period. The VASER process offers Dr. Broadway greater precision so that he can focus on extremely small regions of your body when removing fat, as well as regions very superficial to the skin. With traditional liposuction, surgeons were taught to always leave 1 centimeter of fat, and with VASER technology surgeons can be more aggressive removing deep and superficial fat taking lipo to the next level. Surrounding nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissues are not affected.
How does VASER technology work?
Dr. Broadway will make a small incision into the region being operated on. An injection will numb the area, aid in the fat liquification process, and shrink blood vessels to decrease bleeding. An ultrasonic probe will then target a highly specific area in the region, break down the fat, and remove it through a suction process.
